Clinical Expertise and Certifications
Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW stands for Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Obtaining this license involves earning a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, obtaining 3,000 clinical hours, 100 hours of supervision, and passing two standardized national exams. This license means I’m social worker trained as a counselor and fully qualified to help you with your mental health needs.
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant - Earning this credential involves 2,500 hours working with primary eating disorder diagnosis cases over 2+ years, regular supervision with a CEDS supervisor, writing a case study, passing a comprehensive exam, letters of recommendation, and core coursework. The “Consultant” piece indicates I am qualified to oversee clinicians pursuing their CEDS and provide consultation hours towards their certification.
In other words, I’m highly trained and specialized in the field of feeding and eating disorders through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
EMDR Certified - I completed 20 direct consultation hours with an EMDR Approved Consultant. These consultation hours covered various EMDR protocols,25 different EMDR cases in my care, and applying EMDR with complex dissociation and complex PTSD. EMDR Consultant in Training - I am an EMDR Consultant in Training which indicates I in the process of earning my EMDR Approved Consultant title by completing an additional Consultation-of Consultation hours with an EMDR Approved Consultant. These hours include specialized consultation on best practices of providing consultation to other EMDR therapists on applying EMDR in their practice and earning their EMDR Basic Training or EMDR Certification. About the Course
Participants will build confidence recognizing and understanding eating disorders through a practical, self-paced online course. This two hour training will cover a variety of topics including diagnostic criteria of eating disorders, assessment tools, risk factors for development and maintenance of an eating disorder, medical complications, and more.
