I am specialized in treating eating disorders, OCD dissociative disorders, and trauma for adolescents (14+ and adults). I have experience with a wide variety of populations across socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and treatment settings. I bring clinical experience from residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient levels of care. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship in the healing process and highly value your trust in me as your therapist. As a social worker, I see my work through the lenses of social justice and intersectionality. I am here to listen and support you in exploring who you are and how you heal. I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Consultant in Training. This training enhances my skills in trauma-informed care and treating trauma survivors.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communications Studies with a focus in Human Relations from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Social Work from Texas State University. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time with my husband and son.
I am licensed to practice in the states of Texas and Oklahoma.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses the brain's natural healing capabilities to heal maladaptively stored memories. EMDR functions off of the correlation between eye movement and the brain reprocessing memories, similar to the function of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. EMDR targets this function of the brain on what is to be reprocessed and how. EMDR is an evidenced based approach for PTSD and has found to be effective treating a variety of other mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and eating disorders. EMDR tends to be a quicker treatment modality than traditional talk therapy due to the work of EMDR done on a deeper level of the brain. EMDR does not require in depth discussion of the presenting issue and focuses on somatic sensations, emotions, and core beliefs around the memory. Please check out emdria.org for more information.
I see clients Mondays - Thursdays in office and via telehealth.
I am seeing clients both in-person and online via telehealth. My in-person office is in North Dallas at 12700 Park Central Suite 110, Dallas, TX 75251.
I wish I could give you a specific answer! This greatly depends on the client, their needs, stage of change, history, and goals. We will always reassess as we go and continue adjusting goals and treatment plan as necessary.
I am not in network with any insurance panels. However, I do offer superbills you can submit on a regular basis to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Many of my clients get a portion or 100% of their counseling sessions reimbursed. Please contact your insurance carrier to determine your out of network benefits.
I encourage my clients to think of therapy as an investment rather than an expense. Your mental health is the foundation for every area of your life and commitment to therapy and the hard work involved leads to lasting results in your relationships, sense of self, work or school commitments, and overall well-being.
